MSA Chillgard R-134A 4 point refrigerant monitor on the Ford Explorer Assembly line. There would be an occasional leak of R-134A on the assembly line which would stop the line. The MSA Chillgard monitors the area so if there is a leak the “all clear” signal can be given and the line restarted with an absolute minimum of lost production

Precision Digital Panel meters provide a remote readout of the MSA 8 point multi refrigerant monitor. The monitor is looking for refrigerant leaks in a very large central chiller plant at the University of Louisville. The Precision Digital Meters show the sample point being monitored along with the concentration. If there is an alarm the strobes will activate and will be latched. The remote readout is in the superintendent’s office which is also visible from the street. A refrigerant monitor can be in alarm but since it is in an unattended area it may not be noticed . It is also nice to know the leak concentration from a safe location before entering the room. Many refrigerant monitors are not hook up to alarms or supervisory systems. The University of Louisville has it covered with this installation
